Hirundo Projects
Hirundo presents two wind power projects poised to meet 25% of the current domestic electricity demand in Lesotho.
Mohale’s Hoek Wind Farm
Hirundo Lesotho is developing a wind farm comprising 12 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3 to 6MW. The wind farm will be located on a mountain ridge to the east of Mohale's Hoek. Through this endeavor, Hirundo Lesotho aims to make a substantial impact on Lesotho's energy landscape by generating around 15% of the nation's domestic electricity consumption or around 140GWh/year.
